Is Warming Up Before a Workout a Must-Do?

I'll save you the suspense; warming up is a MUST. I admit I'm guilty of skipping my warm-up routine occasionally. As tempting as it may be to start your workout without warming up, doing this puts you at greater risk of injury. Take 5 to 10 minutes to stretch and do light activities like jumping jacks to increase your heart rate. If you're going for a run, use the first segment of your run as a warm-up period.

It might be tedious, but warming up should be an essential part of your workout routine. It only takes a little time to complete and will help you obtain better performance in your training.
