Nicole Klein ran with the wrong running group, which ended up being the right group for her

If you've ever searched for a group to train or run with, you know it can be tedious. Most people look for a group that matches their fitness needs and schedule and, if their lucky, a group where they can meet a few new friends. Finding a group that has at least two of those qualities is gold. But some people are lucky enough to find a group that offers all three qualities plus more.

Nicole Klein, a runner who lives in Austin, Texas, was fortunate enough to find such a group. But what was unique about Nicole's case is she found them by accident. Even better, the group she found would help her overcome a difficult time.

Klein works as a clinical research coordinator and does phase one clinical trials. The job is very demanding on her time and leaves very little time for a social life. What free time she does have, she spends running and hanging with her two dogs, Bella and Olive, who is also known as Chunk because of the dog's likeness to the character Chunk from the movie The Goonies.

In this week's Podcast, Nicole shares her running story with me.
